What is Match-Trader MCP for Brokers?
A remote Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that gives AI assistants permissioned access to the back end of a Match-Trader brokerage.
It covers the Manager and Admin applications: accounts, trading groups, instruments and sessions, positions, orders, ledgers, market data, and routing, hedging, exposure and abuse rules. Your team uses it from the AI tools they already work in, and the assistant combines actions on its own to answer multi-step questions.
MCP is an open standard for connecting AI applications to external systems. One MCP server works with every compatible assistant, so there is no separate integration to build for each AI tool.

Questions brokers ask
What is Match-Trader MCP for Brokers?
A remote Model Context Protocol server that connects AI assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT to the Match-Trader Manager and Admin applications. Broker teams use it to ask about accounts, groups, instruments, positions, ledgers and routing and risk rules in plain language, with answers built from live platform data.
What is an MCP server?
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard for connecting AI applications to external systems. An MCP server exposes a set of actions that a compatible AI assistant can call. One server works with every MCP-compatible client, so there is no separate integration for each assistant.
Which AI assistants can we use?
Any MCP-compatible client, including Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code and Codex.
Do we need to build an integration?
No. Match-Trade hosts the server. Setup consists of adding a personal access token to the MCP configuration of the AI client your team already uses.
Can the assistant see data a user can’t access in Manager or Admin?
No. Each token is personal and mirrors that person’s existing access in Manager and Admin, including which environments they can reach. The MCP server does not grant new permissions.
Where does our data go?
Data is read from the platform at the moment of the question and passed only to the AI application your team chose, under that provider’s terms. Match-Trade does not copy it into a separate data store.
Does it replace Manager or Admin?
No. It is a second, faster path to the same data, especially for questions that would otherwise take several screens, exports and a spreadsheet.
How is it different from reports or BI dashboards?
A report answers a question someone planned for in advance. The MCP server lets your team ask the questions nobody anticipated, for example during an incident or right before a client call.
Can the assistant make changes, such as adjusting leverage or routing?
Today the server gives assistants access to Manager and Admin data. Capabilities for changing account parameters such as group and leverage, editing group settings and adjusting routing rules are in development as part of AI-driven back-end management.
Can we connect our own Full Server environment?
Yes. Brokers on a Match-Trader Full Server licence can have their own environment connected on request.
How do we get access?
Contact Match-Trade sales. The team confirms which environments and users to connect and issues personal access tokens.
Ask your back end anything.
