Match-Trader Introduces Gamification as a New Framework for Trader Activation

Match-Trade Technologies has added Gamification to Match-Trader, a new feature designed to increase client engagement and retention by making progress visible throughout the early trading journey. Instead of a checklist completed once, onboarding becomes an ongoing experience, with milestones recognized within the platform.

    How Gamification Works

Match-Trader now includes a built-in achievement system that marks meaningful trader activity from initial sign-up onward. Users earn badges for completing onboarding, enabling security features, making an initial deposit, placing a first trade, or exploring charting, analytics, and risk management tools. All milestones appear in an Achievement Center, giving traders a single view of unlocked accomplishments, pending objectives, and current progress.

Gamification is available on both web and mobile, maintaining consistency across devices. A strategic design decision ties milestones to the trader, not to any individual trading account.

    Alerts and Sharing

When a trader unlocks an achievement or reaches a new level, Match-Trader presents a dedicated in-app recognition moment, not merely a standard notification. The system opens a separate screen with its own visuals and a clear next step.

Push notifications are sent upon milestone completion, including when the trader is away from the platform, provided permission has been granted. Traders retain full control over notification preferences and can adjust settings at any time.

What It Means for Brokers and Prop Firms

For brokers, Gamification addresses a persistent activation challenge: most client drop-off occurs early, before funding or feature discovery. The system provides structural guidance through this critical stage without redesigning onboarding. In the longer term, it supports retention by giving traders continued reasons to return and explore the full breadth of platform capabilities. Brokers can enable or disable the feature at the brand level, tailoring the experience to their client strategy. Milestone-based recognition also helps prop firms sustain participation during evaluation and challenge phases, where attrition rates are historically high.
