What it covers
The day-to-day of trading, scoped to the account the token was issued for. You never pass a login or account number.
Account
Details, balances, account summary and platform details
Market data
Instruments, live quotes, candles and trading hours
Positions
Open, modify and close positions
Pending orders
Place, modify and cancel pending orders
History
Closed positions and ledger entries, for trade and cash-flow history
Trade by asking
Connect your AI assistant to the Match-Trader MCP server
and give it a Trader API token. It picks the right tool for whatever you ask, with exactly the permissions of that token.

Read-only token
The assistant can read the account, market data and history,
but never change anything. Right for analysis and reporting.
READ + TRADE
Token with trading rights
The assistant can also open, modify and close positions and pending orders: real orders on your account. Issue it separately and revoke it on its own.
Tool calls count toward the same Trader API rate limits as your own integration.

Working across many accounts?
The Trader API covers one account per token. Brokerage-wide integrations use a different API.
Three steps to your first call
Create a token in Match-Trader, choose its rights,
then call the API or hand the token to your assistant.
Step 01
Create a token
In Match-Trader, open the API Access view. Tokens are issued per trading account and last up to a year.
Step 02
Choose its rights
Read-only for analysis and reporting, trading rights for execution.
Step 03
Call the API
Send it as a Bearer token to
trader-api.match-trader.com/v1,
or hand it to your assistant.
